Challenge

Douglas College faces tough competiton for prospective students in a crowded post-secondary market in Vancouver's lower mainland. Our challenge was to make Douglas College stand out - literally with a rebranding campaign with a digital marketing understanding at it's core - which would result in increase traftic to their website, admission inquiries and overall increase awareness of Douglas College's unique positioning.

Strategy

Apply student recruiment behavioural insights to the unique offering from Douglas College ranging from distintive programs, to a highly supportive learning environment for recent high school graduates. And, weave in the important message of the role Douglas College teachers play in inspiring and empowering their students into a rebranding marketing campaign.

Creative and Execution

Following a branding discovery and focus group research, the brand essence of "curiosity, ignited" was identified and a visual language and communications campaign was developed. Fjord's creative team developed a fresh and original campaign that delivered on the youthful approach to curiosity with the power of igniting, kick-starting the learning experience..

Results

The campaign is currently in market and early results point to increased awareness of Douglas College and extremely positive attitudes to the many possibilities they offer to prospective students.
